Again, speed increases over a 3.4GHz S478 Northwood can be explained away by clock speed advantages.



Extreme Edition's extra cache makes all the difference here as it jumps up into top spot.



It's all swings and roundabouts. Extra cache and faster system speed is good but the 3.6GHz Pentium 4 560, based on the encoding-friendly Prescott core, is better suited to XviD conversions.



It doesn't really matter if it's Prescott, Northwood, or Extreme Edition, Realstorm's Raytracing benchmark is dominated by Athlon 64s.
