CPU performance is right where we'd expect it to be, there's a reasonable boost in performance compared to the previous gen flagship the Core i7-4790K even though that turbos higher (4.4GHz) than the new i7-6700K (4.2GHz). Add in the fact the Core i7-6700K overclocks slightly better and Skylake Z170 looks like a tasty upgrade for prospective buyers, especially those on older Ivy Bridge or Sandy Bridge platforms.
