Memory tests and HEXUS Pifast

The EVGA nForce 680i LT SLI has a slightly higher latency than the top of the range 680i SLI. It's higher, in fact ,than the i975X-based Foxconn, and comes in with almost the same benchmark as the AM2-based MSI board.

In the HEXUS Pifast test you can see that both of the 680i boards perform almost identically. Neither is quite as fast as the 975 here, though. Since Pifast is a synthetic benchmark, mainly used to evaluate the effects of bandwidth and latency with a particular CPU, we wouldn't worry too much about this difference. As you can see, though, the AMD system is considerably slower in this particular test, owing to the performance difference that exists between an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 and the now-defunct AMD Athlon 64 FX-62.
