ScienceMark 2.0, Pifast, WAV
Starting off, as always, with a look at bandwidth, latency and Pifast.Note that ASUS' SK8V is a S940 (dual-channel) motherboard. ABIT's KV8 Pro's performance is just where we would expect it. 3GB/s from a potential 3.2GB/s isn't bad at all.
Excellent latency figures from both S754 boards. This is where low-latency memory really shines.
Pifast performance is always excellent with Athlon 64 CPUs. That's confirmed by ABIT's 56s time.
607MB - an album's worth - of WAV files crunched into 192kb/s MP3 format in just over 3 minutes. That's what high-end performance translates to.
