Bundle
It's a little mystifying why Biostar decides to bundle in a SATA power connectors and cables with this motherboard. It seems to be a case of a generic bundle with each new Biostar board. We're fans of decent manuals, and we consider them to be an integral part of any package. Here is where Biostar falls down badly. The manual is less than 20 pages and spends more time discussing the software extras and implementation than the setting up of the board and BIOS. Biostar needs to look again at what documentation it provides with its boards. We'd expect a detailed, well-written manual that covers each important point in detail. Something along the lines of ABIT's latest selection.
The second FireWire port cannot be taken advantage of with the supplied cable. It's strictly a 2-port USB2.0 affair. The software and utility CD is quite good. It provides all the drivers with an easy-to-use GUI. The application CD is the same as the one provided with the nForce2 board, shown on the page 4.
