Benchmarks II
Gaming begins with a look at 3DMark 2001SE v330. Run at 1024x768x32, as always.
18,312 marks puts the PT800 some 500 marks behind the Intel i875P and almost 1,000 marks behind the supercharged i865PE. A breakdown of the VIA's scores can be found here. Again, even though the benchmark is behind the dual-channel chipsets', it's a little higher than one might have expected beforehand.
Serious Sam 2's Sierra De Chiapas demo isn't too upset with a VIA's PT800; hot on the heels of the Canterwood.
Comanche 4, on the other hand, likes DC motherboards that little bit more. The overwhelming question is whether one can discern the difference between 67.42 and 63.38 FPS ?.
