Benchmarks I
The benchmarks' first port of call is SiSoftware's SANDRA. The unbuffered integer benchmark is usually indicative of performance.
Just a notch above the ABIT IS7, and a few percentage points lower than the IC7-G.
We'd hazard that the slightly faster overall system speed allows the Shuttle to just eclipse the ABIT Springdale's time here. The upcoming 3.2GHz P4 should lower this time by a few seconds, we reckon.
How about our standard SETI benchmark ?. Will the Shuttle still surpass the ABIT IS7 here ?.
Just. We'd expect a tuned, PAT-like BIOS to match or even exceed the ASUS P4P800's numbers. ABIT are rumoured to have one in the pipeline. We wait to see if Shuttle will be able to unlock some true PAT goodness in the near future.
