EPoX Bundle and Presentation
Yum. One of the more pleasant offerings. EPoX have toyed with fancy packaging, oversized boxes, and gimmicky presentation before. The 4PCA3+'s presentation is certainly tasteful.
A condensed version of the features. 6 P-ATA and 2 S-ATA channels offer a total of 14 useable drives and are a godsend for storage freaks. I count myself amongst them. Gigabit LAN is commonplace on the i875P, as are the 5 PCI slots.
The Canterwood is all about presentation. Just how much can you fit into a single motherboard box ?. 2 rounded cables in a garish blue; 2 S-ATA power and connection cables; 2 floppy discs providing pre-OS support for ICH5 and Highpoint HPT374 RAID. A further floppy provides USB2.0 support. A 'standard' floppy cable, I/O shield and Gameport fill out the bundle. The driver CD contains the expected OS drivers for both forms of RAID, sound, LAN, and chipset drivers. Norton's Ghost 7, PC-Cillin 2002 and EPoX's Magic Flash utility complete the package. Above average but not startling.Ā
