Benchmarks III

Unreal Tournament 2003 should give even the Canterwood motherboard a workout. We've set the detail to maximum. Sound, as always, has been disabled so as not to colour the results. First the flybys at 1024x768x32.

And now the more subsystem-limited 'bot matches.

No prizes for guessing who's top. Bandwidth matters. The XP3000+ manages to lose out only to the Canterwood in the 'bot matches.

Another Intel benefit is Quake III. It's still used because it provides meaningful and precise information about motherboards' ability to pump out data. Running at 1024x768x32 High Quality.

60FPS separate the 3.06GHz / 133 / 166MHz i845PE combination from the 3GHz / 200FSB / 200MHz Canterwood combo'. That's with a CPU deficit of around 70MHz, given that the ABIT BH7 runs the 3.06GHz CPU at 3070MHz. 321FPS is hardly slow, though.
