Benchmarks II
Gaming and we'll start, as always, with 3DMark 2001SE. With its mix of graphics card and system-intensive tests, it's still a decent benchmark for assessing motherboard performance. Run at 1024x768x32 with no AA or AF.
The use of a faster CPU than in my previous reviews and the improvement that comes from a revised driver set means 15,000+ marks with a default ATi Radeon 9700 Pro is simple. If you want to see a breakdown of the BH7's scores, look here. The i845E's 600+ mark deficit is largely down to a slower memory speed (DDR266 vs. DDR333).
Serious Sam 2 next. Using quality settings with no anisotropic filtering. Sierra De Chiappas Demo at 1024x768x32.
The SOYO seems to only trail the BH7 due to its inferior clock speed. It's extremly close throughout.
How about Comanche 4's benchmark at 1024x768x32 ?
