Platform Testing
We found during testing that the ECS wasn't too happy running 1T on the memory bus. Versus the ASUS that can run 1T it loses some bandwidth, a little latency and therefore overall performance in some applications. The trend you'll see is therefore for the ECS to exhibit somewhat competetive benchmark performance, but never go faster than the ASUS. Along with that bandwidth deficit there's around 15% more access latency, resulting in the dips in performance you can see above.
