EPoX's nForce2 effort comes in a pleasing box. It's a little different from their previous offerings. They've played around with various packaging, and now they're having their take on box covers.

What do you get ?. Apart from the motherboard, obviously, the following are provided.

EPoX's box cover theme spills over to the manual and driver disc. The manual is well-written and should help even a novice install and operate the 8RDA+ without much fuss. Detailed where it should be, it seems as if documentation is now exemplary.

I like the fact that 2 ATA cables are provided. This allows you to connect most of your drive devices without difficulty. A floppy cable is included too. The rather strange Firewire connector gives us two ports, and the supplied USB2.0 bracket allows us to use all 6 USB2.0 ports immediately. The driver CD contains the standard drivers, as well as EPoX's in-house Magic Health hardware utility, Norton's excellent Ghost 7 and PC Cillin 2002, . It appears to be a multi-platform CD with included drivers that have no place on this particular motherboard. A gameport cable completes this package. I must note that the USB2.0 bracket, Firewire bracket, backplane, and gameport are listed as optional. Also optional is an add-on S/PDIF card.
