Benchmarks IV

On to UT2003 demo's inbuilt benchmark. It covers 2 flybys and 2 bot matches. An average is taken for each section. Run at 800x600. First the flyby average.

And now the bot matches

166FSB CPU seems to be the sweetspot as far as the nForce2 is concerned. It does exceptionally well when run with a 166FSB CPU (our one is hypothetical) and dual-channel DDR33 with tight timings.

Start your bandwidth engines. Time for Q3 v1.30. Run at 512 Fastest to see just how efficient the memory controller is. Can the nForce2 do anything about the P4's dominance ?.

The optimum combination gets very, very close indeed. The fact that at 2000MHz / 166FSB CPU / Memory @ 166MHz, the ABIT nForce2 can take 45+ fps out of a KT400 running at the same frequency and FSB tells us all we need to know about usable bandwidth and efficiency of dual-channel DDR333.
