Benchmarks II

A test I find more useful in gauging effective system bandwidth is the PiFast Bench. The Hexus PiFast benchmark consists of running one of the fastest PI calculators available for the windows platform, using the following settings:

Calculate PI to 10,000000 places using the Chudnovsky method, standard mode with an FFT size of 1024k.

Again sheer bus speed shows its strengths in this test. Also note that the ASUS A7V8X is consistently showing slightly higher performance in all benchmarks than other KT400 boards that i have tested under the same conditions.

Unreal Tournament 2003 is one of the new next-gen games with incredible eye candy. The game is extremely CPU and bus bandwidth limited with a top end graphics card. The board once again scores extremely well, with the higher bus speeds showing a huge lead.
