3DMark 2001 and Quake3 v1.30

3DMark to start proceedings. It's a full system benchmark that needs good system throughput and good graphics card performance to get the best scores. Here's the graph.

Nearly 11 thousand marks out of the box without even trying with a Ti4400 is pretty impressive and it's the fastest stock score seen at Hexus with a Ti4400. With XP2200+ you could expect the 8K5A2+ to be comparable in performance with the SOYO.

We've seen with Quake3 recently on the Ti4400 that it's slightly card limited in some resolutions. The results here will be interesting.

We finally get close to the all conquering P4 score from the 2.4B and MSI DDR board but even with 2133MHz, the CPU can't bring the score above the P4. As we mentioned in the XP2600+ review, the CPU needs a front side bus increase to give it more usable bandwidth to take on the higher clocked P4's.

Nice performance and the best AMD performance so far for sure. On to Comanche 4, Serious Sam 2 and Aquamark.
