BIOS, Bundle and Manual

The BIOS is a customised AWARD BIOS with what Leadtek calls X-BIOS II. It's their equivalent of ABIT's Softmenu III and offers the same sort of control over your system settings. CPU front side bus and voltage, DDR voltage and AGP voltage adjust and some small adjustment over memory timings.

After that, it's pretty much your usual AWARD fare. There are some dedicated SiS OnChip options to control things like the IDE controllers on the chip, the USB ports etc.

Bundle wise, being a budget board, you don't get a box full of goodies, rather just what's needed to get you up and running. CD, manual, ATX backplate for your case and of course the board itself.

The box is a mildly attractive affair but nothing to blow your socks off. Forgivable given its budget audience.

The manual, the first Leadtek manual I've come across, graphics card or otherwise, is quite excellent. Nice and clear and it doesn't appear to have suffered any translation issues if indeed it was translated at all. A nice effort from Leadtek and one of the highlights of the whole package. Many of you don't even read the manual but when you do need to, it's definitely a bonus to have a nice one and Leadtek deliver.

Overall, nothing to get the saliva glands working, just competent and solid. So onto the exciting bit for many, the performance.
