We run the high-speed connectivity test by enclosing a Kingston 128GB SSD inside a Tsunami USB 3.0 caddy. AS SSD's sequential throughput is noted. Going by these numbers, there's not much to choose between them.

Memory bandwidth and single-core tests

A-series APUs use a dual-channel memory architecture that doesn't benchmark particularly well. We've used the same memory and timings for all three boards. It's clear the Intel Core i3 2100 wins out here.

The two budget chips used in this comparison aren't imbued with Turbo Boost/Core support. The higher IPC of the Intel Sandy Bridge part shows its worth in applications that stress a single CPU core.
