The ASUS board is rather thrifty in terms of energy consumption. Going back to Virtu and multi-display outputs for a moment, the idle and load figures are practically identical if the IGP is turned on and run in parallel with the discrete graphics. What this tells us is that the high-end card cannot be completely turned off.
