Gaming and overclocking

And the similarity of results extend to the gaming tests, conducted at 1,680x1,050 with a Radeon HD 5850 in the primary x16 slot.

 Overclocking

Where they could differ, though, is with respect to overclocking. Using the same procedure - reducing the mulitplier to 16x, DRAM frequency to 800MHz, and adding 10 per cent to various voltage lines - we managed to hit a solid 210MHz BCLK; just shy of the P6X58D Premium's overclock.

Any figure over 200MHz BCLK can be considered a reasonable increase, and it should push the ever-so-popular Core i7 920 to 4GHz without any problems.
