All chipsets run SATA well.

Burst speed, however, is lacking on the SiS965 southbridge.

Decent USB2.0 performance, as gauged by Simpli Software's HDTach when measuring read speed on a Western Digital 160GB IDE hard drive that's located in an external USB2.0 enclosure.
