Overclocking Tests
On this page we overclock each CPU to its safe limit and show just those results, meaning it gives you more insight into what kind of performance you can expect when following a similar tack to us.
Intel's CPUs run at a higher all-core speed than Threadripper, and the Asus and MSI manage the same 3,950MHz top speed. This figure is more dependent upon the actual CPU used rather than differences between motherboard manufacturers, we feel.
Even so, the multithreaded performance goes up nicely, but Threadripper cannot do anything to get closer to X299 for Hitman.
