XviD, KribiBench, HD Tach, Raytracing
And there's very little performance difference when set to Raytracing. Now I bet you're beginning to wonder if an MV Ixius should be your next power purchase?.
The first hiccup, comparatively speaking, is in KribiBench's results. It's difficult to ascertain exactly why there should be such a performance discrepancy, but the results were repeatable time and again.
XviD encoding is also a touch slower. Bear in mind that the Ixius 3.6 still encodes at around the same rate as a 3.46GHz Extreme Edition Pentium 4/i925XE desktop setup.
HDTach doesn't do Hitachi's excellent 60GB 7,200RPM hard drive justice here. It's nippy in Windows and 8MB of onboard cache makes everything just a little smoother. A definite plus.
