The 256GB Samsung SSD is interesting insofar as it is geared specifically toward read performance. 483MB/s is decent for a SATA SSD, but sequential write speed, at 241MB/s, is lower than anticipated and indeed slower than the 128GB drive in the first-gen laptop.
