Benchmarks: CPU
Intel's quad-core, hyper-threaded Core i7-4720HQ processor is one of the quickest mobile parts available today, and it has no trouble tearing through the first set of benchmarks.
What's particularly impressive is how the chip manages to maintain a solid 3.3GHz during the demanding Cinebench and HandBrake tests. Said benchmarks put maximum load on all available cores, and usually cause laptops to throttle back frequency in an effort to keep temperatures in check. We see no evidence of throttling on the GS60 2QE Ghost Pro 4K, which suggests that MSI may have tweaked its cooling configuration to good effect.
