Review: SavRow Razor 1.7 Laptop

It's horses for courses and certain processors for certain benchmarks. Decent performance from SavRow's mobile wonder.



Not so good in KribiBench, however.



Our encoding test takes in the first vob file of Sleepy Hollow. It's compressed using the XviD CODEC. Sadly, the Pentium M looks laboured in comparison to two other laptops and a desktop Athlon 64 Model 3200+ setup.



A semi-sawtooth pattern is shown by Hitachi's 80GB 5,400RPM (8MB cache) laptop hard drive. Given a choice, we'd probably opt for a 60GB 7,200RPM model. It's noticeably zippier within Windows XP, notwithstanding the 80GB's 8MB onboard cache.
