Benchmarks: Power Draw and Battery Life
No surprises here. The proviso that applied to the original X7 is still in evidence here: battery life is mediocre at best.
To gauge real-world longevity, we loop a 720p movie clip with 50 per cent screen brightness and all wireless radios disabled. In this scenario, the high-performance components don't take long to eat-up the X7 v2's 73Wh battery, with the system succumbing to hibernation in just two-and-a-half hours. That's actually lower than the original X7, which managed a run time of 164 minutes.
