The Intel Core i7-11800H is proving popular among latest-generation laptops, and in stark contrast to other high-profile processor launches, availability appears to be plentiful.
MSI's Katana GF66 implementation reveals that the eight-core part has plenty of potential. Single-thread performance from the 4.6GHz chip is up there with the very best, but multi-threaded results are somewhat hampered by throttling. Perusing our log files reveals that the 45W processor would dial down to ~2.7GHz during the demanding Blender benchmark.
