MSI's GF65 Thin may be the most-affordable gaming laptop in our line-up, yet the underlying Core i7-10750H processor is no slouch. Intel's 45W, six-core chip can hit of speeds of up to 5GHz and proves capable in both single- and multi-threaded workloads. Why is it not running circles around the quad-core i7-11370H in the Asus TUF Dash F15? Newer architecture is one part of the puzzle, and the six-core MSI throttling to ~3.3GHz across all cores under load is the other.

One other point worth noting is that AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors are starting to infiltrate a market historically dominated by Intel. The MSI seems decent at £1,100, but six-core, Ryzen-based equivalents costing less than £1,000 are on the horizon.
