Benchmarks: Power, Temp and Noise
Perusing our log files, we're encouraged by how long the Surface Laptop 3 is able to maintain high frequencies when pushed during multi-threaded workloads. The internal fan isn't in too much of a hurry to kick-in, and when it does, it keeps temperatures down to reasonable levels without too much fuss. The chassis is never too hot to handle.
Both variants are silent at low load, though when the going gets tough the Intel model is a just a tad quieter than the AMD. Small margins, but worth knowing about if you're spending this amount of money on a laptop.
