Benchmarks: Gaming
We've heard a few readers ask for gaming benchmarks to be compared directly between laptops. Doing so introduces the vagaries of driver and game updates, but we're willing to give it a go by pitting the Asus machine alongside the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED.
Both systems utilise the same Core i7-9750H processor, but the faster GPU available to the Asus results in superior in-game performance. The improvement varies depending on title, but on average we see a framerate increase of around nine per cent in the half-a-dozen tested games. At the native 1080p resolution, you can crank quality settings up to maximum and expect silky-smooth gameplay.
