Turns out the storage configuration in the GX502 is somewhat unorthodox. Rather than adopt a single, high-speed M.2 SSD, Asus has made the decision to install a pair of mainstream 512GB Intel 660p M.2 drives in a RAID 0 configuration. A needless complication, we feel, as a single Intel 760p drive would deliver similar results without the complexity or risk of a RAID setup.
