The Aorus 15 has what it takes to serve as a productivity workhorse, but it is a gaming machine first and foremost. We've run a slew of modern titles at the native 1080p resolution, and the results are pleasing; with the RTX 2060 at the helm, you can crank all the usual quality settings right up to maximum and be confident of getting well in excess of 60 frames per second in most games.

Might the RTX 2070 upgrade be better able to utilise the 144Hz display? Absolutely, and it's worth a shout considering the modest Ā£50 increase in asking price, particularly if you have one eye on forward-looking technologies such as ray-tracing. Our RTX 2060 review sample falls below the 60fps target in Shadow of the Tomb Raider with ray-tracing and DLSS enabled, so there's merit to the RTX 2070 upgrade if you want to play with all the latest features turned on and dialled-up.
