Benchmarks: Temperature and Noise
We mentioned Asus's aggressive take on CPU cooling, and that opinion is backed up by the results on this page. The Core i7-8565U warms to over 80ºC in less than a minute of full load, and the laptop quickly dials down frequency in order to keep temps down to an absolute minimum. The end result is a chassis that keeps relatively cool, and hardly any fan noise. We've actually come to appreciate this stance as the laptop is quiet practically all the time, but we wonder if performance purists would prefer to see the Core i7 chip run a little hotter and harder?
