Benchmarks: System
PC Specialist is hitting all the right notes, and it is no surprise to see the 16.1" Defiance V topping both the PCMark and 3DMark graphs. It's the latter that has us intrigued. A score of 7,249 is the best we've seen on any single-GPU laptop, however if features such as ray-tracing and DLSS mean little to you, then the transition to RTX 2080 Max-Q might not seem a giant leap.
In the mobile space, we've previously seen 17in laptops outfitted with a GTX 1080 slot-in at around the 6,800-mark, and if you're trying to decide between laptop or desktop, you may be surprised to learn that mobile RTX 2080 Max-Q scores less than a desktop RTX 2060.
On the other hand, if portability is of paramount importance, Defiance V offers an impressive punch for a laptop measuring less than 20mm thick.
