There's no doubting that Intel's Core i7-8750H is the preferred choice for a great many high-end laptops. The six-core, 12-thread CPU features in seven of the 10 laptops on show, and it is fascinating to see how the same chip can deliver noticeably different levels of performance based on implementation. PC Specialist's Defiance V does a better job than most at maintaining high frequencies, resulting in excellent performance in both the single- and multi-threaded tests.
