Benchmarks: Display Colour
Performance is impressive, and so too, it seems, is the 14in, 2,560x1,440 HDR display. Colour coverage and out-the-box accuracy is best-in-class, although the benchmark numbers don't always align with what is most pleasing to the eye.
In the default configuration, we found colour to be oversaturated to the extent that the image just doesn't look right. Reds in particular are overblown and the usual fix is to change the colour profile from native to standard (shortcuts are available by right-clicking the desktop). Unfortunately, said colour profiles don't appear to work with the latest release of Windows 10.
A software fix should be incoming, and you can, in the meantime, manually adjust colour settings using the Intel Graphics control panel, but we reckon it makes sense for Lenovo to choose standard as the default colour profile; native may be impressively vivid, but it has the feel of a TV in shop mode - pretty to look at but not quite usable.
