Benchmarks: Gaming
CPU performance has improved dramatically in the past 12 months, but the accompanying GPUs are beginning to appear a little long in the tooth. GeForce GTX 1060 is now almost two years of age but still serves as the mid-range solution of choice. A 3DMark Time Spy score of 3,866 is slightly higher than other laptops outfitted with the same GPU, and the performance uptick can be attributed to the 8th Gen Intel processor.
Scan's goal is to deliver smooth gameplay at the native 1080p resolution, and the 3XS LG15 Vengeance Pro is up to the task. All three of the tested games are smooth with quality settings cranked right up, though you may want to dial down just a touch in order to achieve the desired 60 frames per second.
