Benchmarks: Display Brightness
Improved brightness appears to be a noticeable tweak, with the X9 topping the charts at 368 nits. Unfortunately, impressive brightness is offset by poor black levels and limited contrast. The latter, coupled with constrained viewing angles, result in a washed-out image when viewing off centre. This isn't the best laptop display, and though gamers will appreciate the 2,560x1,440 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, the lack of G-Sync support is a sore point.
