The Intel Core i5-7300HQ is a decent step up from the Core i5-6300HQ featured in the GL702VM, as evidenced by a 10 per cent improvement in PiFast performance. These are, however, Core i5 chips, and without hyper-threading they drop behind the Core i7 alternatives in the multi-threaded Cinebench and Handbrake tests.
