Overclocking

7,014 marks at the default 3DMark Time Spy test is hardly a shabby return, is it? Yet those in the know will appreciate that with this A8G variant of the Asus card coming in from a relatively low core frequency, there should be opportunity to overclock.

Indications from our sample are that the A8G GPUs are as capable as their original O8G brethren; we still managed a similar in-game boost speed of 1,980MHz while memory whistled along at 11,008MHz.

The increase in core and memory is particularly relevant at 4K, where each extra frame per second is more readily noticeable.
