Valve's Half-Life 2 is unsurprisingly popular right now, so let's see how it performs with CATALYST 5.1 using our usual HEXUS timedemo created using one of the prison levels.
CATALYST 5.1 takes a small leap over its predecessor in the performance stakes here, opening a small framerate gap.
The news is very good indeed with AA and AF enabled - While CATALYST 4.12 showed some strange performance drops compared to the 4.11 driver which came before it, CATALYST 5.1 regains that lost performance at these settings, putting it basically on a par with the good performance seen in CATALYST 4.11.
