The sole game title used to evaluate performance, Half-Life 2, knocks that rough 80% differential that we've seen on the head, sidling up to the X850 XT boards some 10% closer at around 90% of their speed. When we're CPU limited at the 1024x768 spots, there's nothing in it, the $299 product matching that which costs at least $200 more without any problems.
And that, dear reader, is the X800 XL's gigantic appeal. While it really doesn't need doing, the obvious jumping out and shouting at you during all the benchmarks, let me explain.
