Fillrate and shading

We'll run fillrate and shading tests from 3DMark03 first.

Note how extra memory bandwidth over and above a regular 500/1000 6600 GT results in a better single-texturing performance. ROP performance is inextricably linked in with bandwidth, I suppose.

That advantage is eroded to a meaningless amount when considering the more common multi-texturing scenario.

Pixel Shader 2.0 performance is also a touch above a reference 6600 GT's. Remember that XFX's card is running at 500MHz core and 1200MHz RAM.

Another insignificant lead. Memory bandwidth advantages are more likely to show at higher resolutions and/or when AntiAliasing/Anisotropic Filtering is applied.
