Even midrange cards are capable of scaling up to 1600x1200 with no loss in performance in UT2004. The indoor benchmark puts the onus on the subsystem to spit out the necessary geometry.
The test becomes GPU-bound with AA and AF applied. ~60FPS at 1280x1024 4x AA/8x AF is more than good enough for me, though.
