Shader Model Image Quality

Finally, I want to cover image quality output from the different pixel shader compiler profiles available on NVIDIA's Shader Model 3.0 hardware.

Sadly, the images are too large for me to present inline in this page of the article, so you'll have to do some clicking and download of some very large images, filesize wise and width wise, if you want to compare. I have same-frame output from all four HLSL compiler profiles, followed by difference output between ps3_0 and the three other images.

ps3_0 output - 2.14MB, PNG format
ps2_a output - 2.14MB, PNG format
ps2_b output - 2.14MB, PNG format
ps2_0 output - 2.14MB, PNG format

ps3_0 output versus ps2_a - 70KB, PNG format
ps3_0 output versus ps2_b - 70KB, PNG format
ps3_0 output versus ps2_0 - 70KB, PNG format

Personally, I see little difference in actual testing between any of them, but the images are there if you want to do your own comparison, if you don't have Shader Model 3.0 hardware or a copy of 3DMark05 yet.
