3DMark

3DMark is the latest version of this hugely-popular synthetic benchmark. Making use of DX11 features such as tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading, it provides modern-day results and is available as a free download.

The specifications suggest performance should be closer to GTX 960 than GTX 750 Ti. 3DMark paints this exact picture and shows, a little surprisingly, the Asus GTX 950 Strix getting pretty close to its bigger brother. The performance is also relatively close to the best GPUs of three/four years ago, too, albeit now at a much lower price point.

We know from previous experience that a 3DMark score of 6,000 at 1080p usually means that the card will play modern games well enough at that setting.
