Overclocking
If you thought the Asus went for the jugular with the out-of-the-box frequencies, the card continues to overclock like a champ. We cranked it up to 1,300MHz core and an effective memory rate of 7,812MHz. The base clock only tells half the story though, as the card actually ran the games at a lofty 1,577MHz core.
Admittedly overclocked to the rafters, the 768-core GTX 950 is able to beat the 1,536-core GTX 680 OC card in the more demanding 3DMark test.
What we're effectively seeing is a Ā£130 card of 2015 matching the best Nvidia GPU of 2012... with more energy efficiency to boot.
