The near-identical performance between the two high-end Nvidia GPUs calls the Titan X's worth into question. Why pay substantially more for performance that's no better, and the argument that the extra framebuffer helps in today's games is largely moot.

GTX 980 Ti is also quicker than any of AMD's single-GPU cards though the twin-gun Radeon R9 295X2 still needs to be factored into the performance and price equation.
