Alien: Isolation

Homepage: alienisolation.com | Publisher: Sega | Developer: Creative Assembly

One of the most terrifying games of recent years, Alien: Isolation is a must for fans of the series and on PC hardware it looks as good as it plays. To gauge performance, we benchmark a 45-second stint of the game at FHD, QHD and 4K UHD resolutions.

Some nice scaling in evidence for Alien: Isolation, as well. One card is hardly slow, but two crash through the average 100fps barrier with ease.

These two graphs say smooth and smooth. All the frames are rendered within 25ms and the slowest one per cent starts at just 16.1ms.

But let's provide a bit of context here. The game still looks very good at 2,560x1,440, where a single Radeon R9 290, costing Ā£200, is able to mete out very good framerates.
