The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot has received critical acclaim and, with the aid of Crystal Dynamics' game engine, helps bring Lara Croft to life with stunning character models and believable worlds. We run a 45-second benchmark using the Ultra-quality preset.

If the GeForce GTX 980 is good in a game, the GTX Titan X can really strut its 3,072-core stuff. More cores and more bandwidth result in a 33 per cent gain over a reference GTX 980. Context-aware commentary suggests that, once again, the Titan X isn't in a different league to partner-overclocked GTX 980s.

Yes, the Titan X is easily better than the rest, but as before, such performance prowess is only applicable at 4K - anything lower doesn't need such an over-the-top GPU.
